Late Rally by Puffer Fish Secures Win
Plattsburgh beat Twinsburg at Dodge Field, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Frank Corbett, who earned player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Plattsburgh reliever Micheal Bly picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. John Palmer took the loss. Picking up the save was Dave Davis, his 3rd.

Plattsburgh needed the clutch hitting of Burton Thomas to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Puffer Fish on top, 7-6. For the game, Thomas had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Plattsburgh manager Terry King.

Plattsburgh has now won 5 straight.
