Zoomies Subdue Beaumont, 4-2

Terriers Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Beaumont Crossbeaus and Shady Side Zoomies.
The Zoomies faced a stiff challenge from Beaumont pitcher George Atwater, but persevered to claim a win at Terriers Ballpark. The final score was 4-2. Atwater went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. The Zoomies move to 23-36 with the win, while the Crossbeaus drop to 33-26.
Making an impact for the home team was Kelsey Johnston. In the bottom of the fourth, the 19-year old shortstop had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 4-2, Zoomies.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Zoomies manager Benjamin Brouwer. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
