The Crowley Cajuns took Canonniers de Quebec pitcher Steve MacDougal's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Titans Ballpark. The final score had Crowley getting past the Canonniers de Quebec, 2-1. MacDougal went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 9. The 4th-place Cajuns have won 4 in a row.
In the bottom of the 7th, pinch hitter Bill Palmer gave Crowley the lead when he hit a 2-run double. The Cajuns had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out double off Canonniers de Quebec pitcher Steve MacDougal changed that -- and Crowley went on to win.
"We did just enough to win," Palmer said.
