Quebec City right-hander Norman Davis made an effective start against the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople at The Igloo, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Dave Henderson earned the save, his 2nd, for the Baby Blues. The 7th-place Baby Blues lifted their record to 12-15.
Quebec City relied on the hitting of Qing-lai Mak to pick up the win. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Baby Blues on top, 4-0. For the game, Mak had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Mak told a Quebec City News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
