The Quebec City Baby Blues defeated the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 5-3, at Dylan Park. Quebec City third baseman Calvin Chappell was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Liu-liang Lei got the win, improving to 2-0. He worked 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Bill Lawrence picked up the save, his 6th.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Chappell hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Baby Blues into the lead, 5-2.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Chappell told the Quebec City News.

Quebec City is now 10-13. Plattsburgh is 9-14.
