Snowpeople Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople powered past the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 8-4, at The Igloo. Tai Kuo went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Edgardo Moncivas closed it out for his 1st save. The Puffer Fish fall to 5-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2043 season.

The Puffer Fish had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Snowpeople going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old catcher Sergio Herrera came to the plate. Herrera hit a run-scoring single on a 1-2 cutter from Plattsburgh hurler Randy Woodruff. It was Herrera's 2nd hit of the year.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Herrera.
