Centennial Get Close Win Over Warheads
Getting a good performance from left fielder Ángel Torrez, the Fort Knox Centennial defeated the Amarillo Warheads, 10-7. Torrez was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Centennial. Fort Knox is now 57-37, Amarillo 30-64.

Torrez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-1 fastball from Benigno Lio, he banged a grand slam home run to left-center, giving the Centennial a 10-6 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Torrez.

"Ah, the sweet taste of victory," Torrez crowed after the game.
