Victory Over Angel Kitties Takes Long Island to 56-35
The Long Island Ducks topped the Bethlehem Angel Kitties by the score of 7-4, with the largest share of the credit going to center fielder Al Ruíz. Ruíz was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Ducks. Long Island reliever Jimmy McDonald picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Lando de Ruijter absorbed the loss. Harvey Caldwell closed the game out for Long Island, earning his 4th save.

Ruíz had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Lando de Ruijter, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Ducks a 6-4 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Ruíz.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Ruíz.

Long Island has now won 3 in a row.
