Hicksville and Fort Knox duked it out at Ballpark of Baxter and the Hounds came out victorious.

The Hicksville Hounds beat the Fort Knox Centennial, 8-6, at Ballpark of Baxter. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Larry Thompson, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times. Hicksville, now 38-41, holds 6th place in the Premier R.

Hicksville used the clutch hitting of Pedro López to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to give the Hounds the lead, 7-2. For the game, López had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said López.
