Warheads Deal Centennial Painful Loss
Amarillo overcame a superlative game from Reynaldo Alaniz to beat Fort Knox, 6-5. The Fort Knox pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The Warheads now own a record of 21-54.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Amarillo trailing 5-4, Stephen Adams hit a slider from Alan Gonzáles to center for a 2-run triple. Just like that, the Warheads had a walk-off win.

Adams told a Amarillo Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
