The Ladue Rams beat the Amarillo Warheads, 9-6, at Ballpark of Henderson. Ladue first baseman Sébastien Guillaume earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Norberto Dávila got the win, improving to 2-1. He worked 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. Thad Parker converted his 16th save in 17 tries.
In the first inning, Guillaume had a grand slam home run for Ladue. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Rams on top, 5-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Guillaume told the Ladue Observer.
Ladue is 38-33 and Amarillo, with the loss, 20-51.
