Rhinos Top Ducks in Extras
|
The Redwood Rhinos picked up a win at The Zoo, knocking off the Long Island Ducks, 4-3. Starting pitcher Maurice Palmer, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Redwood reliever David Kelly picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Jimmy McDonald absorbed the loss. Redwood is now 28-43. Long Island is 48-23.
Seung-hun Kim had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the 12th. The Redwood shortstop came through with a run-scoring single to put Redwood in front, 4-3.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Kim told the Redwood Daily News. "But we take nothing for granted."
