Warheads Drop Another One
|
Amarillo got a terrific performance from pitcher José Blanco, but it wasn't enough to beat the Tulsa Otters. Tulsa won the Ballpark of Hughesville contest, 6-2. Blanco was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. The win was Yaichiro Shini's in relief. His record improves to 3-0. José Blanco took the loss for Amarillo. The last-place Warheads have dropped 7 straight games.
Tulsa took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Stephen Ledesma hit a 2-run single to make it 4-2, Otters.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Ledesma told the Tulsa News.
