Despite a fine performance by second baseman Soshal Distan Singh, the Amarillo Warheads suffered a 6-5 loss to the Hicksville Hounds. Singh went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the sixth inning when the Hounds sent teenager Alex Haynes to the plate against Warheads hurler Maxence Pollini. With the bases loaded and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a 0-1 fastball to score 2.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Haynes told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
