Becerra Helps Ducks Run Win Streak to 3
The Long Island Ducks knocked off the Hicksville Hounds, 8-0, at Hound Pound. Edgardo Becerra, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Long Island won. The catcher went 3-3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Long Island has now won 3 straight, while the Hounds have lost 4 in a row.

With Long Island leading 3-0 in the top of the fifth, Becerra hit a fastball from Steve Ward for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Ducks ahead, 6-0.

"Feels good to get the job done," Becerra said after the game.
