Dirty Reds Stumble, Lose to Bowties
|
Marcus Shill was instrumental in his team's 8-3 triumph over the San Mateo Dirty Reds. The left fielder was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Buckhead Bowties. Buckhead currently is in 5th place in the Silver League at 11-13.
Amherst, New York-born Spencer Powell came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Bowties trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run double to right to put Buckhead on top.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Powell told the Buckhead Daily.
