Ladue right-hander Doug Brown made an effective start against the Hicksville Hounds at Hound Pound, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Brown got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Brown allowed 2 earned runs. Thad Parker sewed up the save, his 8th.
Clifton Chandler, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2043 draft, helped out the Ladue cause in the top of the fourth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the right fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Hicksville manager Ronald Harmon said following the tough loss.
The Rams have now won 4 straight.
