Billy Goats Stick Knights with 3-1 Loss
|
The Colorado Billy Goats got a magnificent performance from pitcher Francisco Rivas, who stifled the Kingston Township offense en route to a 3-1 Billy Goats win at Grazing Hills. Rivas, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Ron Fernández earned the save, his 1st.
In the bottom of the second, Raoul de Gilde hit a 2-run single for Colorado. The 10th hit of the season for the Colorado catcher put the Billy Goats on top, 2-0.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," de Gilde told the Colorado Daily.
At 11-13, the Billy Goats are currently 5th in the Silver League.
