Ducks Need Extra Frames to Get Past Angel Kitties
|
The Long Island Ducks got a magnificent performance from pitcher Rafael Pérez, who stifled the Bethlehem offense en route to a 3-1 Ducks win at Kittie Park. The second-place Ducks are now 28-17, the Angel Kitties 23-22.
Long Island used the timely hitting of Danny Stone to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 13th inning to put the Ducks on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but he made it count.
Pérez attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
