Riley Goes Wild, But Ducks Win
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Gerald Riley, the Amarillo Warheads suffered a 10-5 loss to the Long Island Ducks. Riley was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Eric Corbin got credit for the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 5.2 innings. The Ducks move to 23-15 with the win, while the Warheads drop to 13-25.

Long Island relied on the hitting of Michizane Yamashita to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ducks on top, 6-3. For the game, Yamashita had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Yamashita told the Long Island Today.
