McCarthy Stars in Centennial Win
Fort Knox and Long Island got after it at Ducks Park.

Fort Knox second baseman Rick McCarthy was instrumental in his team's 8-1 win over the Long Island Ducks. McCarthy, the 31st overall pick in the 2042 draft, went 2-2 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Centennial. Victor Jones got the win, improving to 4-2. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 2 and walking 3.

Fort Knox used the timely hitting of Chin-seok Chong to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Centennial ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Chong said.

The Centennial go to 17-14, putting them third in the Premier R.
