The Long Island Ducks picked up a win at Ballpark of Wellsville, knocking off the Ladue Rams, 7-4. Starting pitcher Eric Corbin was an essential part of his team's success. Corbin got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 8 hits and walked 0 over 8.1 innings. Corbin allowed 4 earned runs. Earning his 11th save of the year was Liu-liang Liu.

Brad Brown had a big 2-run single for the Ducks in the top of the third inning. With Long Island leading 3-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Harri Haverfldt and stroked the single to right. It was his 6th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ducks ahead, 5-1.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Brown, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
