Music Lose to Warheads in Walk Off
|
Gizaw Sahiri did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Memphis Music from losing, 5-4, to the Amarillo Warheads at Ballpark of Henderson. Sahiri threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball. Amarillo reliever Álex Alagna picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Yong-zhan Long took the loss. Amarillo is 10-14 and Memphis, with the loss, 16-8.
Tomas Venema was the walk-off hero for Amarillo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Warheads third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Put a star next to this win," Venema said.
