The Redwood Rhinos bested the Fort Knox Centennial, 9-6, at Ballpark of Baxter. José Altagracia was named player of the game. He was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. John Tripcony was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. The Rhinos raised their record to 2-2.

Redwood used the timely hitting of José Medina to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rhinos on top, 9-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We maximized our offense today," said Redwood skipper Frank Bass. "That makes everyone's life easier."
