Tula Squelch Vandals Offense in Shutout Win
|
Pitcher Renault Daddi was sensational for the Chicago Tula in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Eugene Vandals. Daddi received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Daddi got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 0 over 5.1 innings. Daddi allowed no earned runs. Even with the win, the Tula have a dismal 29-59 record.
The Tula got a big at-bat from catcher Millard King. For the game, King was 3-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 18th double of the season gave Chicago a 2-0 lead.
King told a Chicago Today reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
