Lake Erie and South Beach met at The Ballpark on the Beach in front of a lively crowd.
The Lake Erie Arryns stopped the South Beach Blaze, 7-3, behind an impressive performance from Arturo Iglésias. The 21-year old center fielder made life miserable for South Beach pitching. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Lake Erie is 8th in the Premier A with a record of 34-49.
The result might have been different for Lake Erie, had it not been for Roy Berriman. The center fielder produced a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Arryns ahead, 1-0. For the game, Berriman had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Iglésias said after the game.
