Vandals Lose, 3-0, at The Cage

Delmarva pitcher Shusui Gato did his part in helping his team beat the Eugene Vandals, 3-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Gato, now 4-5, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. Curt Lowery got the save, his 3rd in 6 chances.
In the bottom of the second, Paul Green hit a 2-run double for Delmarva. The 7th double of the season for the Delmarva designated hitter put the Gallos on top, 2-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Green said.
Their 34-46 record puts the Gallos 7th in the Premier A.
