Reapers Prevail, 5-3, Over Delmarva
|
Grim Reapers starter Richard Dougherty was in fine form against the Delmarva Gallos at The Coffin, leading his team to a 5-3 win. The Reapers improve their record to 38-40 with the win over Delmarva.
Tied up with the Gallos in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Reapers got a boost from second baseman Bao-tian Tong. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Tong saw a first pitch changeup from Dawson Nichols and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Grim on top, 3-2.
"We did a lot of things right," said Tong.
