It was a good time at Pipers Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Delmarva Gallos and Caldwell Chiefs get after it.

Getting a good performance from center fielder Guillermo Valverde, the Caldwell Chiefs defeated the Delmarva Gallos, 12-6. Valverde went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Chiefs. The win was credited to Warren Cully in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Dustin Wells took the loss.

Caldwell took a 7-6 lead on Drew Rose's 51st hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Rose hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Delmarva pitcher Dustin Wells visibly frustrated.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Rose told the Caldwell Daily. "You win just by scoring more runs."

Caldwell has now won 6 in a row.
