Soto Stars for Blue Dragons in 6-2 Win
|
The Levittown Blue Dragons bested the Eugene Vandals by a score of 6-2, with third baseman Rafael Soto getting the main credit. On the day, Soto was 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Blue Dragons. Byron McCormick, the winner, improved to 8-4. He held Eugene to 1 earned run on 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. Yu-eh Wang, credited with the save, is now 24 for 26 in save opportunities.
Levittown grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Ernesto Valenzuela delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Blue Dragons.
