Gallos Turn Back Levittown, 3-1
|
Levittown got a terrific performance from pitcher Francisco Díaz, but it wasn't enough to beat the Delmarva Gallos. Delmarva won the The Cage contest, 3-1. Díaz was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. With the win, the Gallos have a record of 29-39.
The Gallos grabbed the lead in the bottom of the third. With two out, Ethan Allcorn, who is tied for 5th in the PA in RBI with 34, hit a 3-run home run off Francisco Díaz, putting Delmarva in front, 3-1. For Allcorn, it was his 6th home run of the season.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Allcorn told the Delmarva Herald.
