Ramblers Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Chicago Tula and Delmarva Gallos.
The Chicago Tula got a superb performance from pitcher Ron Ward. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Delmarva. The Gallos won the game, 4-2. In spite of the loss, Ward was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Dustin Wells was credited with the save for Delmarva, his 1st of the season.
Delmarva used the timely hitting of Ethan Allcorn to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Gallos ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Delmarva manager Tony Garza.
Delmarva is 8th in the Premier A with a record of 27-38.
