The Eugene Vandals defeated the Levittown Blue Dragons, 6-1, at The Riot Zone. Roy MacDonald was named player of the game for Eugene. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 triple, in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. Eugene starter Tim Buck was credited with the win after throwing 78 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-4. Juan Salas earned the save for Eugene, his 2nd.

The Vandals grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With two out, Jim O'Neal hit a solo home run off Ramón González, putting Eugene in front, 3-1. For O'Neal, it was his 2nd home run of the season.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" MacDonald told the Eugene Today. "You win just by scoring more runs."

At 19-33, the Vandals are currently 9th in the Premier A.
