The Lake Erie Arryns topped the Eugene Vandals, 7-3, in USPL Single A action at The Riot Zone. The player of the game was Lake Erie pitcher and St. Petersburg, Russia native Boryenka Pospehov. Pospehov picked up the win for Lake Erie, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Paul Elkins earned the save for Lake Erie, his 1st of the year.
Lake Erie used the timely hitting of Trent Davis to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Arryns on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
