South Beach starter Pedro Arredondo pitched effectively against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at Seahwaks Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. The second-place Blaze now have a 4-game winning streak.

South Beach used the timely hitting of Duane Halfyard to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Blaze on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.

Halfyard attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
