Delmarva center fielder Cheh Che had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 6-2. Delmarva reliever Curt Lowery picked up the win to move to 1-0. Carlson Foolscrow suffered the loss. Tim Little got credit for the save for Delmarva. It was his 2nd of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for Delmarva, had it not been for David Báez, the 22-year old left fielder . Báez contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Delmarva up, 2-1.
"The vibe's good," said Delmarva manager Tony Garza. "We've got to keep it going."
The Gallos, now 11-14, have won 6 in a row.
