Both teams had their chances, but the Grim Reapers eventually prevailed at Arryns Ballpark.
The Grim Reapers grabbed a 5-4 win over the Lake Erie Arryns at Arryns Ballpark. Grim first baseman Mario Roldán went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI to earn player of the game honors. Grim reliever Bobby Teune got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Vratislav Sedlaczek was tagged with the loss.
The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Roldán delivered big-time for Grim, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Isaac Patterson. The game-changing hit put the Reapers on top, 5-4.
"I was a little disappointed," said Lake Erie manager Miguel Saldaña. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
The win leaves Grim with a record of 11-7.
