Loss to Reapers Extends Chicago Losing Streak
|
Grim rode a good effort from starter Khoury Abdul-Rahim to beat the Chicago Tula at Ramblers Ballpark. The final score was 4-1. Abdul-Rahim, now 2-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. Shusui Suzuki earned the save, his 4th.
Grim used the timely hitting of Roy Stewart to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Reapers on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Stewart told the Grim Gazette.
The Tula fall to 4-8 and continue their wobbly start to the 2043 season.
