It was a good time at The Ballpark on the Beach, where fans came to watch the Delmarva Gallos and South Beach Blaze get after it.

The South Beach Blaze downed the Delmarva Gallos, 6-3, at The Ballpark on the Beach. The Blaze were led by Tony Parra, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Miguel López went 6 innings for South Beach to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 3 earned runs. He scattered 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. His record improves to 2-0. Dan Smith got credit for the save for South Beach. It was his 1st of the year.

The Blaze grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With two out, Enrique Emperador hit a 2-run home run off Shusui Gato, putting South Beach in front, 4-3. For Emperador, it was his 1st home run of the season.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said South Beach manager Vicente Rodríguez.

The loss drops Delmarva to 3-5.
