White Delivers Walk-Off Win for Gallos
|
The Delmarva Gallos took Lake Erie pitcher Edgardo Costello's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Cage. The final score had Delmarva getting past the Arryns, 4-3. Costello went 7.1 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 10. The Gallos, now 2-1, have been playing some good baseball.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Delmarva trailing 3-2, Donald White hit a fastball from Isaac Patterson for a 2-run home run, giving the Gallos the walk-off win.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," White said.
