Comets Fall Short, 1-0, at Huntington
The Huntington Hermit Crabs picked up a win at The Shell, knocking off the Kent Comets, 1-0. Starting pitcher Greg Ayala, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Ayala picked up the win for Huntington, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 5-5. Rémy Moreau earned his 16th save in 16 chances.

The Comets had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Hermit Crabs going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old catcher Okalani Karri came to the plate. Karri hit a run-scoring single on a 2-1 cutter from Kent hurler Billy Hansen. It was Karri's 29th hit of the year.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Huntington skipper Rafael Herrera.

Huntington now has a 3-game win streak.
