Jets Bridle Hermit Crabs, 3-1
|
Ángel Franco never let Huntington get something going. The Kennesaw right-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Jets to a 3-1 win. Manuel Silva, credited with the save, is now 3 for 3 in save opportunities. Kennesaw has now won 3 in a row.
Kaaleppi Möttölä, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Rémy Moreau for a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put Kennesaw in front, 2-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Kennesaw manager José Vázquez.
