Hawks Fall Short at Belleville

The home team gave the Belleville Field fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.
The Belleville Bulls picked up a win at Belleville Field, knocking off the Laredo Hawks, 4-3. Starting pitcher Joseph Ferguson, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Belleville reliever Harry MacGruder picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. De'Coldest Crawford shouldered the loss.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Belleville center fielder Tsugumichi Sato, facing De'Coldest Crawford, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Bulls the 4-3 win.
"This place was jumping at the end," Sato said.
The Bulls sit in third place in the Silver A with a record of 50-35.
