The Kent Comets eked out a 8-7 win versus the Mancelona Torch at Fuller Park. Nobody did more than center fielder Elliot Reid, who captured player of the game honors. Kent goes to 52-30. The win puts them 2˝ games up in their division.

Reid had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-0 fastball from Parker Larsen, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Comets a 8-7 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Reid.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Mancelona manager Ezequiel Chosson. "The effort was great."
