Generals Topple Jets, 5-1
|
Washington used a superb performance from starting pitcher Rafael Ramos to down the Kennesaw Jets, 5-1. At 36-46, the Generals find themselves in 8th place in the Silver A.
Armando García went 1-4 with a double and a walk for Washington. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ross Vinyard. It was his 49th walk of the season.
"We'll try to build on that win," García told the Washington Daily.
