Victory Over Yinzers Takes Kent to 51-25
|
The Kent Comets bested the Monroeville Yinzers by a score of 10-6, with designated hitter Ole Geenen getting the main credit. On the day, Geenen was 2 for 2 with a double and 3 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Comets. Billy Ramsey picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-0. He struck out 6 in 5 innings. Kent improves to 51-25 with the win. It could have been a different outcome for Kent, had it not been for Roland Thomas, the 20-year old second baseman . Thomas contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the fifth inning to put Kent up, 6-3.
