Belleville rode a good effort from starter Anthony Dixon to beat the Kent Comets at Fuller Park. The final score was 3-1. Harry MacGruder, credited with the win, is now 2-4. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. The Bulls have now won 5 straight.

Belleville used the timely hitting of Jon Branch to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bulls ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

In comments to the Belleville News, Dixon insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
