Laredo left-hander Jonathon Cannon was in fine form, shutting out the Washington Generals, 4-0. Laredo reliever Jonathon Cannon was credited with the win, to go to 2-2. Richard Nudelman took the loss for Washington. The 7th-place Hawks are now 35-40, the Generals 32-43.

Geoff Sullivan was vital part of the Laredo win. He was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second with two out, Sullivan hit a 2-run single. It made the score 3-0, in favor of the Hawks.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Cannon.
