Bulls Come Back Late to Top Comets

Kent got a terrific performance from pitcher Elliot Reid, but it wasn't enough to beat the Belleville Bulls. Belleville won the Fuller Park contest, 6-2. Reid was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. Reliever Santiago Proximo picked up the win. His record improves to 4-1. Eugene Dwyer took the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Belleville.
Belleville used the timely hitting of Steve Burnett to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bulls on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Burnett called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
