Hobeaus Lose Again, 3-2, to Torch
The Mancelona Torch did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus at Smokies Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Ikaia Duncalf, who captured player of the game honors. Duncalf picked up the win for Mancelona, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 6-6. The losses continue to pile up for Smoky Mountain, which has now fallen 10 times in a row.

It could have been a different outcome for Mancelona, had it not been for Michael Wallace, the 22-year old first baseman . Wallace contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Mancelona up, 3-0.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Mancelona manager Ezequiel Chosson.
